Everyone is well acquainted with the ill-effects of stress like it triggers way for dangerous diseases like diabetes, insomnia, heart problems, weight gain, and sleeplessness. You too might be familiar with such health damages but let me add some extra information to your general knowledge so that you better get aware of stress. Recent researches carried over stress have come out with major impacts over human beings like weakening of the child’s immune system and invitation to skin cancer.   • The University in Sweden conducted an analysis wherein they sampled around 7500 families and found out something very stressing. They came out with the result that the families that were experiencing depressing situations that was produced after some tragic situations or normal parent pressures made their children fatty and obese, during their youngness.

The expert Dr. Bell explains that “Often we’re so conditioned by old events or processes that we just follow old patterns unconsciously and don’t deal with them.” So I suggest you that introspect your past life and try to find out the bad habits in relation to dealing of stress. For instance some of us when in stress try to run out of situations like we separate ourselves from our loved ones, over eat, think unnecessarily which leads to insomnia.

  • The research carried out at Ohio State University concluded with results that stress advances for growth of harmful melanoma inside the human body. This injurious melanoma is actually a form of skin cancer. The Med Guru.com explains that the stress hormones norepinephrine generates enzymes that impulse the blood vessels to produce the detrimental melanoma tumors rapidly and spreads them in the body faster.

Expert’s take:Judy Norsigian, an Executive Director of Our Bodies Ourselves which is a Boston-based nonprofit organization deals with the subject of women’s health says that “It’s about the mind-body connection, regular and moderate exercise improve women’s health, well-being and the ability to cope with stress” Dr.Bell recommends that one’s meal should comprise of lighter and healthier foods like fruits and vegetables. This helps in putting less physical stress on your metabolism. Also he recommends that overuse of excess alcohol should be restricted.

  • 5 Ways Stress Affects HealthIn New York’s Weill Cornell Medical College, researchers tested some of the stressed students who were preparing for the medical board exams. The test comprised of a relatively simple job that they were asked to perform. After that they tested normal group of students who were experiencing normal levels of   stress. In the conclusion, they found that the stressed medical students in comparison to the normal students have tested low in qualities like concentration, judgment and task-planning.

Expert’s take:Individuals should try to make little changes in their normal routine life especially at times when they are going through high levels of stress. They must calm their stressed out senses through listening to soothing music, performing exercise or meditation, having a walk, usage of colors in their life, advises Dr. Bell. These small activities have the power to fill the stressed gaps with positivity.

  • Last year, researchers examined 1000 groups of workers in Europe. They were tested for examining stress. In these, a total of 45% were found to be suffering from stress problems and the main reason for it was heavy work load and time pressures.

Expert’s take:Don’t let stress tramp your life, try to soothe your anxious senses through taking breaks from computer while working, taking deep breaths, having a walk, keeping photos of loved ones with one’s own self and a plant. These will create a healthy and positive environment around you for work. Also before this prepare a daily schedule by setting goals like making a to-do list. As Dr. Bell rightly suggests, “Make your workspace compatible, calming and as much as possible ‘yours’.”
